Dr. Susan Baillie, DVM

Dr Susan Baillie was born and raised on a small farm in Natal, South Africa. She moved with her family to California after graduating high school in 1986.  Susan studied Early Childhood Education and went on to work as a preschool and Kindergarten teacher for 10 years pursuing her dream to be a veterinarian.

Susan graduated from UCDavis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and started her “real-life training” as a veterinarian at a 24 hour small animal facility in Los Angeles. She has worked extensively as both a  companion animal regular veterinarian and as an emergency after hours veterinarian.

After moving to Maui in 2011 she worked for the first 10 months at West Maui Animal Clinic. Falling in love with the community and way of life on Maui, she decided to make this her forever home. Susan is a student at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is currently working on her acupuncture certification.
