At WVS, we are committed to working closely with pet owners toward the goal of maximizing individual pet health and overall quality of life. Full medical and general history, as well as the day to day routines that we have with our pets is essential to this process. Being able to observe the dogs or cats in their own environment allows for us to “get the real picture” and experience the true personality and quirks of each pet that we see. We enter our client's homes with an intentionally relaxed and friendly demeanor and strive to have your pets feel comfortable and relaxed during the entire process.
Services
Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine
Dr Susan Baillie is a student at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is working toward becoming fully certified in TCVM. Areas include acupuncture, acupressure, herbal remedies, food therapy and Thai Gong.
Minor Surgical Procedures
We are able to perform minor surgical procedures such as laceration repairs, abscess treatment, ear hematomas and small mass removals. Our goal is to have a surgical suite by June of 2013 for major surgeries, dental procedures and radiographs.
Urgent Care
We are available 24/7 for house calls. Depending on the hour, prices may vary. We strive to make quality care available to all and have a maximum charge of $95.00 for an after-hours emergency call. If you call and we feel that we do not have the facilities to provide the services that your pet needs, then we will refer you to the closest hospital that can offer the services required for the best care.
Euthanasia
We aim to make this time as comfortable a transition as possible for your pet.
Routine Wellness Exams
In a relaxed and stress free environment without the distraction of the normal goings on in a traditional veterinary facility.
Full Bloodwork and Diagnostics
We are able to perform routine diagnostics such as fecal exams, ear and skin cytologies, minor bloodwork and urinalysis at your home. For major bloodwork and other lab diagnostics we utilize Hawaii Diagnostics labs and/or IDEXX diagnostic labs.
Geriatic Exams
We can assess if any factors are affecting your pets quality of life and work together to come up with a plan to both prevent and treat the most common problems seen in our older pets.
Chronic Disease Management
We pride ourselves in helping owners understand what is actually going on with their pets. We make a focused effort into putting the time into researching new approaches to managing chronic diseases with the goal of maximizing your pets quality of life and general wellness.
